Living the Word of God

The Power of His Word

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” (Matthew 21:22 NIV)

If you love Jesus, then why don’t you spend time with Him? Remember your first love? I don’t know about you but my first love I tried to spend every available moment on the phone talking with her; every time I could, I would be with her in person or in thought. I devoted my life to getting to know her. Unfortunately she died. She was not raised from the dead. Before Jesus was made flesh (John 1:14) He was the Word (John 1:1). The Word is where the miraculous power exists. Without spending time in the Word, you will never get the power of the Word to deliver you from the darkness you are facing in your life. It’s the Word that transforms your thoughts from unbelief to belief, from not having to receiving, from being sick to being healed. When you take the Word and apply thoughts of receiving what the Word said about you to your situation, then the power of His Word backed by His promise to fulfill every promise written in the Bible becomes the reality and physical the manifestation in your life.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1).

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).

“Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his [WORD] command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven” (Hebrews 1:1-3 NLT).

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).

God is not a man, so he does not lie.
He is not human, so he does not change his mind.
Has he ever spoken and failed to act?
Has he ever promised and not carried it through” (Numbers 23:19 NLT).
