Living the Word of God

He Rose For You

Why did Jesus die on the cross for you? The simple answer is to redeem you from the penalty of sin. For those who don’t know, “the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23). That’s all fine and dandy some will say to eternal life but what about now? Why don’t I have a life free of financial worries or divine health? Or even all my needs met. Just as a child needs a guardian to administer the last will of their parents who left a million dollar estate; you need someone to teach you how to handle the authority and the inerrant power contained in the Word of God.

You have been giving an inheritance (Colossians 1:12). Most people are unaware of the benefits that came with their salvation. One of them is an inheritance which was given when Jesus died on the cross for your sins with the complete outline of our inheritance in the New Testament section of your Bible.

I’d like to think of us Preachers and Teachers as an Estate Attorney helping you understand the last will and testament written from the Bible for God’s surviving children.

To receive the benefits of your inheritance you have to learn how to act and how to speak right words into your situation (Mark 11:23-24); wait until you get directions from your inner man on what you need to do (Psalms 27:14); then do what you heard. ” But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?” (James 2:20).

I’ll give you an example. Let’s say that you want a raise. You work hard; you’re always on time and all the other conditions exist in favor of you getting a raise. You pray about it and believe you receive the raise according to your prayer from Mark 11:24 but then nothing happens. Weeks go by followed by months of no raise. Most people at this point will blame God and declare that the Word of God doesn’t work. I assure you that PRAYER DOES WORK! What happened was the moment you prayed, God sent to your inner man something for you to do and you didn’t hear it. You have to train yourself to be obedient to the promptings you hear in your spirit in order to be successful. It’s like following your first mind (James 2:24). When you start trusting without doubting the things that you speak when you speak what God spoke, your words will not go without being fulfilled.

“God is a Spirit” (John 4:24). God speaks into existence what He wants to come to pass (Genesis 1, Romans 4:17). We, as humans were made in His image (Genesis 1:26) before we were given a body. Therefore, our fight and our struggles aren’t natural but spiritual (2nd Corinthians 10:3). To defeat spiritual forces that come against you, you have to do it with your words. To receive anything in life (if you noticed) you spoke it into existence. The Bible works! If someone has a better way, then they are living a lie. “Let God be true and every man a liar” (Romans 3:4 NKJV). “God is no respecter of persons” Acts 10:34). If He did it before for someone, He will do it again for you if you line yourself up with His precepts.

I believe that there are some basic principles you must follow to receive God’s best.

Salvation is the cost of admission. “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21). Believe – “And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment” (1st John 3:23). Obedience – “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land” (Isaiah 1:19). Forgive –“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:14-15). Get rid of your Idols. “Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry” (1st Corinthians 10:14). Get rid of pride. “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:19). And most important thank God for everything He has done for you. “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God” (Exodus 34:14).

Now that He has helped me, I want to help you achieve victory using the Word of God as your source.

People think that they can do it on their own but God didn’t set it up that way. The Bible says: “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, SHALL MEN give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again´ (Luke 6:38). We as human beings must learn how to get rid of pride and humble ourselves so that God can lift us up to the places He wants us to be.

The Lord God sends us Christians out into the world to heal the sick, preach deliverance and give people from all nations a hope THAT they too can take hold of their inheritance brought by the blood of Jesus Christ.
