By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written, “That you may be justified in your words,
and prevail when you are judged.” Romans 3:4 ESV
Let the word of God be true and every man a liar. The word of God says:
A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. Luke 6:45 NIV Based on this scripture, listen carefully to what people say because what’s really in their heart comes out of their mouth. It’s their belief at that present moment because they said it. One may ask: How does something get into your heart?
“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:22-23 NIV
What this means is that whatever you feed into your eye gate determines what goes into the spirit of your heart. Many people feel that they can control the many type of urges that results from what they look at but the devil is a liar and a deceiver of the brethren. The first thing a young boy gets his hands on in his early years of life is a pornographic magazine. You know what happens to his membranes then. What you don’t know is what happens to him later in life. He may become a rapist or he may even become a stocker or a pedophile desiring to relive or create that sensation when he first saw that image. Because you open the door to a demonic force through (in this case) that porno, other demons enter in and their ain’t no telling what other evil spirits manifest from just that one event – looking at porno.
“When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.” Matthew 12:43-45 NIV
In a case from the Bible from the story where Jesus sent the demons into the herd of pigs, Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” “Legion,” he replied, because many demons had gone into him (Luke 8:30 NIV). Dictionary.com describes a legion as a division of the Roman army, usually comprising 3000 to 6000 soldiers. What this tells me is that as a result of one sin this man committed, he opened the door to a whole lot of other demons which came into him. Likewise, when that boy looked at porno, he opened the door for other demons to enter into him. Not all demons will act out at the same time. But when it’s his turn, he will surely show up. And if I entertain sin, the same can happen to me.
Glory be to God because He gave us a way out. Since God created the world and all of us in it and because He knows how things function, He gave us these admonishments.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6:6-9 NIV
To get something in your heart, you have to constantly talk about it.
It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak.” 2nd Corinthians 4:13. Whatever you believe you speak. When we constantly confess our love for our Lord Jesus Christ or for our loved ones it’s because we feel that love in our hearts. When we stop confessing our love, something has moved in and has taken the place of the love we had or felt. Usually it comes in some form of hate. Faith (or belief in something) comes by hearing. (Romans 10:17)
Although unwritten but implied, when you write something down, you read it. Whatever you constantly put before your eyes permeates your thoughts and therefore enters into heart. Thinking about something is a form of meditation. God set the precedence in Joshua (v8) when He said: “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Meditation on something WILL make you prosperous and successful in the thing you meditate upon. The Word of our Lord tells us to think about good things. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8 NIV
Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. Romans 6:16 NLT
We all should strive to righteous living. This can only be achieve when we consistently and in every area of our lives set ourselves apart from what others do so that we can be available for God to use to heal and deliver others.
If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work. 1st Timothy 2:21 NLT
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. MATT 12:35
