Regardless of what you perceive by your five (5) Physical Senses, healing belongs to you. Receiving healing for any ailment that troubles you can be as simple as asking God to heal you, believing you received your healing then expecting it to happen. I will by no means exhaust every example from the Bible in this explanation, but I will cover a few just to ignite your belief that you too can receive your healing. Let’s go to the scripture in Mark 11:22-26.
22) Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God.
23) I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.
24) I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
25) But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.
26) But if you refuse to forgive, your Father in heaven will not forgive your sins.
Let’s take this scripture at face value for a moment.
The first thing to do is to have FAITH IN GOD. God is the healer. You have to put your full trust and faith in the fact that God wants you healed. When the Lord Jesus came to earth, after He was filled with the Holy Spirit, He went about preaching the Gospel, healing, and delivering all those who were oppressed by the devil.
That God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil; for God was with him. Acts 10:38 WEB
He showed us that we, as mere mortal men, have access to this same power by the Holy Spirit within us to use and believe in the Name of Jesus. Not only in our daily lives or through the power our prayers but we must generate such a belief in God that we will know without a shadow of doubt that whatever we need to go about doing good and restoring the Kingdom of God in the hearts of all the people who we come into contact with, the power of God will show up on our behalf and deliver what we decree.
You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. John 14:14 NIV
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. John 14:12 NIV
In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. John 16:23-24 NIV
One of the prerequisites of making any scripture an actual reality in your life is having the right attitude as you walk about in your daily life. Where most people fail is how they treat other people. We all know that the second greatest command is to love your neighbor as yourself. That means no back biting, hating, coveting or anything else that isn’t displaying your love towards one another. If you aren’t exercising this type of love towards your fellow man, let that be the reason why your words fall to the ground.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31 NIV
What really brings all the scriptures into reality besides your unyielding belief in the power of God to make it happen is how you live.
Let’s look at Romans 12:1-2 separately from the New Living Translation (NLT).
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him (Romans 12:1).
There is a lot to say about using your body as a living and holy sacrifice. I will instead let the scriptures do the talking.
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.1st Corinthians 6:18 NIV
Because your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, you defile this temple and bring disasters upon yourself instead of receiving the precious promises you are hoping for when you are not living the sanctified holy lifestyle God is requesting.
Don’t you realize that your bodies are actually parts of Christ? Should a man take his body, which is part of Christ, and join it to a prostitute? Never! And don’t you realize that if a man joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? For the Scriptures say, “The two are united into one.” 1st Corinthians 6:15-16 NLT.
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect (Romans 12:2).
Here God is telling us in plain English that if we change the way we think about spiritual things, our natural things will line up for our good and that good is pleasing and perfect. If Jesus went about healing people, then it’s God’s will for you to be whole.
If you look sick, then you must be sick. If you have fever, extreme tiredness (fatigue), or weight loss you may have some form of cancer. Regardless of what you have, God wants you healed. The problem is to get you to believe this.
Jesus died on the cross as a sacrificial lamb shedding His blood for the remissions of all our sins once and for all past, present and future sins. The established penalty for sin was death. Just as a seed when planted in fertile soil grows according to what was planted, so does sin when cultivated also sprouts up in our lives into full grown DEATH.
Praise be to the Lord God who made a way for us to receive deliverance from the penalties of death. Now it’s up to you to take a hold of this reality by laying claim to your right to be released from the devil’s bondage of sin which he inflicted upon your body as a disease. How? In addition to doing everything we’ve already talked about, I give you four reasons in favor of your healing. Meditate upon those promises until they become a reality in your life.
He personally carried our sins
In his body on the cross
so that we can be dead to sin
and live for what is right.
By his wounds
you are healed. 1st Peter 2:24 NLT
The LORD is good to everyone.
He showers compassion on all his creation. Psalms 145:9 NLT
A psalm of David.
Let all that I am praise the LORD;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
Let all that I am praise the LORD;
may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins
and heals all my diseases. Psalms 103:1-3 NLT
My child, pay attention to what I say.
Listen carefully to my words.
Don’t lose sight of them.
Let them penetrate deep into your heart, or they bring life to those who find them,
and healing to their whole body. Guard your heart above all else,
for it determines the course of your life. Proverbs 4:20-23 NLT
Once you release your requests to God concerning your healing EXPECT it to happen until it does.
That is having faith in God and His desire for you to be healed. As long as you tell the naysayers “I believe I receive my healing” you aren’t lying. Then when it actually manifests itself you have a testimony. Praise the Lord.
