Living the Word of God

We are getting close to the return of Jesus Christ the Messiah which is soon and very soon. How do I know? It’s evident by the signs of the times.

Here is one sign. .

And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. Matthew 24:12-13 ESV

Do not be blind to this fact that lawlessness is increasing daily. Many people are doing their own thing regardless of the law. It’s evident in people who say “nobody is the boss of me” or I’m grown. I can do what I want.”If that isn’t rebellion, then what is? God established His authority then He delegated it to us way back in Geneses Chapter one. You must be subjected to someone’s authority to understand God’s Authority.

Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? Romans 6:16 ESV

Parents have allowed their children to run amuck trying to be politically correct or because of fear that if they discipline their child CPS will take them or they will go to jail for child abuse. There are scriptures covering this.

Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 ESV

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 ESV
And we know the most famous one.

Those who spare the rod of discipline hate their children.
Those who love their children care enough to discipline them. Proverbs 13:24 NLT

Since all authority was established by God and is subjected to His authority, this is what the LORD has commanded to establish order.

If a man vows a vow to the LORD, or swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break his word. He shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

“If a woman vows a vow to the LORD and binds herself by a pledge, while within her father’s house in her youth, and her father hears of her vow and of her pledge by which she has bound herself and says nothing to her, then all her vows shall stand, and every pledge by which she has bound herself shall stand. But if her father opposes her on the day that he hears of it, no vow of hers, no pledge by which she has bound herself shall stand. And the LORD will forgive her, because her father opposed her.

“If she marries a husband, while under her vows or any thoughtless utterance of her lips by which she has bound herself, and her husband hears of it and says nothing to her on the day that he hears, then her vows shall stand, and her pledges by which she has bound herself shall stand. But if, on the day that her husband comes to hear of it, he opposes her, then he makes void her vow that was on her, and the thoughtless utterance of her lips by which she bound herself. And the LORD will forgive her. (But any vow of a widow or of a divorced woman, anything by which she has bound herself, shall stand against her.)

And if she vowed in her husband’s house or bound herself by a pledge with an oath, and her husband heard of it and said nothing to her and did not oppose her, then all her vows shall stand, and every pledge by which she bound herself shall stand. But if her husband makes them null and void on the day that he hears them, then whatever proceeds out of her lips concerning her vows or concerning her pledge of herself shall not stand. Her husband has made them void, and the LORD will forgive her.
Any vow and any binding oath to afflict herself, her husband may establish, or her husband may make void. But if her husband says nothing to her from day to day, then he establishes all her vows or all her pledges that are upon her. He has established them, because he said nothing to her on the day that he heard of them. But if he makes them null and void after he has heard of them, then he shall bear her iniquity.” Numbers 30:2-15 ESV

Just in case you didn’t know a vow is a solemn promise, pledge, or personal commitment to do something. If we all were accountable to one another, most of the lawlessness we see running out of control would not exist. Women need to watch what they say and men need to step up to the plate and stop this foolishness gone wild.

Here’s another sign.

For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. Matthew 24:5-8 ESV

The fruit of lawlessness brings all types of drama in our personal lives, based upon fear, which is also the root of all our problems. This lawlessness can even be felt throughout the entire earth. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. Romans 8:22-23 ESV

And yet still another sign.

For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Matthew 24:23-27 ESV

No wonder why many people are walking around hopeless. Here’s some good news.

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.1st Thessalonians 4:16-17 ESV

Let’s put our hope in the soon return coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Come Dear Lord, Come
