Living the Word of God

It’s only when you understand the authority given you by Christ Jesus can you realize the fullness of your potential as a Christian. Our sense of right from wrong existed within God with mankind being led by the Spirit until Adam’s willful disobedience to God. Then we gained another perspective of right from wrong introducing to us the exercise of our will. Now our daily fight is to control our “will” to follow after God, and God represents everything good along with whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and whatsoever things are of good report; virtue, and praise while the devil is a liar, he represents everything that leads to stealing and killing and destroying our hopes and dreams, drive and the desire enjoy good things.

If I used just one word from the devil’s arsenal of tricks like “condemnation” the connotations associated with the feelings the word “condemnation” brings allows the devil to make us feel unworthy, unappreciated and unwanted about ourselves so that every time we desire something condemnation stands in the way and stymies our achieving anything worth having. That is not God’s best for you. Since God is love (1st John 4:8) our expected end is everlasting life. His delegated authority (See Geneses 1:28) has given us the ability to experience life as if our heaven was right here on earth. NEWSFLASH, this just came in as a thought to my inward witness. “If we were banned from the Garden of Eden because of sin, salvation ushers back into His presence and repentance keeps us there.” Providence! Being in His presence allows us to enjoy everything we had as when we were in the Garden of Eden.

Naturally “we” weren’t in the Garden of Eden. Adam represented man and our beginnings. As far as the Garden of Eden goes, one might wonder what made the Garden of Eden so wonderful. What did we have in the Garden of Eden? I’m glad you asked. I’ll only mention a few things here.

All this came about because of our Fellowship with God

1. The LORD God made all sorts of trees grow up from the ground—trees that were beautiful and that produced delicious fruit. Gen 2:9 NLT We had food and shelter.

2. A river flowed from the land of Eden, watering the garden and then dividing into four branches. The first branch, called the Pishon, flowed around the entire land of Havilah, where gold is found. Gen 2:10-11 NLT We had money in the form of Gold to conduct trade.

3. Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” Gen 2:18 NLT We had companionship.

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Gen 1:26 NLT

Did you get that? God gave everything He made the ability to be fruitful and multiply but to Mankind, He gave Authority to rule over all that He created. Before we had been given a body to walk AROUND this physical earth, we were made to be like God – a spirit. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24. Since God created the world by speaking it into existence, and as a son of God the Father, in order for you and me to get the same results, we have to learn to speak from the spiritual to affect the physical. Adam was practicing this when he was given the task of naming every creature.

Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. Gen 2:19 NIV

I believe that the Authority given to us by God comes when you practice using your authority from in your spirit and with the Holy Spirit leading you all the way, so that what you speak to your situations, good things will happen. With that said, whatever you want to happen in your life you speak to it. You call for your dog, “Here dog.” The dog comes. You say, “I can do it.” And it gets accomplished. The same holds true if you say “You Can’t” then you won’t. You should take notice of what you are saying to your situations. Your will in any situation governs what you want to happen. The choice of yours should be to want to fellowship with God so that all His goodness overflows towards you and your will to do what He wants will get very good results. Why? Because all God wants for you is good. As you could see, in the Garden of Eden, nothing was lacking for man.

If this is the kind of life you want to live, then follow the examples of our predecessors- fellowship with God on a daily basis. Take your stand against knowing the knowledge of good and (mostly) evil from the devil’s perspective, which will lead to theft, death and destruction of things in your life – all based upon lies. On the other hand, when you determine to chase after God, your will becomes sensitive to know all that is good. When man tries to rule in the natural, it becomes demonic and it surely doesn’t work without trepidations

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. Gal 5:16-17 NLT

For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel! Matthew 8:9-10 NLT

In the King Jams Version says it like this:

For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

Did you notice “great faith?” The centurion understood Authority because he had people underneath him who carried out his orders, even if he wasn’t there to oversee it.You my friend have the same authority. You are commanding things and demons to line up with the goodness of God’s will by what you say. Say right words, get right results.

God wanted you to know this because He’s tired of the devil walking all over you and hearing you cry about things He’s already empowered you to do. You just have to step out on faith and believe God to do what you are speaking. Then speak His words to your situation and watch Him do His part by making it come to pass.  You must practice hearing the will of God from your inward witness. Then be obedient to speak what you hear and/or do what that inward witness says and you can rest assured that God will make things right. It is by the Authority In God’s word that we live, move and have our being bringing us to our Shalom.
