When a potter makes jars out of clay, doesn’t he have a right to use the same lump of clay to make one jar for decoration and another to throw garbage into? Romans 9:21 NLT And we complain about our lot in life. Do we really have a right?
How foolish can you be?
He is the Potter, and he is certainly greater than you, the clay!
Should the created thing say of the one who made it,
“He didn’t make me”?
Does a jar ever say,
“The potter who made me is stupid”? Isaiah 29:16 NLT
But this is how we treat God with contempt! When we lie, cheat on our relationships, or deal falsely with our neighbors we are in fact telling God that He made a mistake. There is no situation that you get into that God doesn’t know about and have already provided a way out for you without you having to lie, cheat or deal falsely. He wants for you to ask Him what to do. And trust Him for the answer. If you listen and obey, He will direct your steps in the right way.
The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. 1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT.
