Have you ever wondered why most New Year Resolutions only last a few days if not a few weeks? Goal setting according to Wikipedia, “involves establishing specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-targeted (S.M.A.R.T ) goals.” At the end of the year, many people utter things they want to change from the old year and try to incorporate the change into the New Year but fail because of one or more of the S.M.A.R.T integrals being absent from their plans. New Year’s Resolutions like “I’m going to lose weight” or “I’m going to quit smoking” last only for a moment and ends with a type of inner failure which, little by little, stymies your motivation to obtain other goals making you feel lethargic.
Goals which are unwritten, becomes the territory to which the devil tries to condemn you on when you fail to achieve the resolution.
Then the LORD said to me,
“Write my answer plainly on tablets,
so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.
This vision is for a future time.
It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled.
If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently,
for it will surely take place.
It will not be delayed. Habakkuk 2:2-3
See the end result of what you want to happen then write down the steps necessary to get to that point. This really is a spiritual principle. Why do I say this? I don’t have the ability to convey everything that I know about it, but a tidbit, a very important one is this: As soon as you commit your plans to paper, YOUR Angel dispatches the request in the spiritual world. As long as you don’t negate your plans with negative words, everything you need to make that goal happen align themselves for you to achieve that goal sometime around that time you planned it to happen. Once everything gets in place, the request is taken from the Angels and given to the Lord Jesus Christ Himself who takes the request to God the Father who approves it. After the entire process is completed, you then get what you planned. If you ever made a budget, you know things are not set in stone and many adjustments must be made to make it balance. It’s the same with your resolutions. While you are working it, you get a knowing in your spirit that “It won’t work this way.” or “Instead of on this day, it will be on that one.” So go with the flow. Keep expecting until the realization of your goal becomes real. It’s also important not to give up during set-backs. Once you get past the obstacle, the reward of having the goal achieved is greater received and a more trustworthy testimony.
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:14 If you received salvation by confessing the Lord Jesus Christ, then this promise belongs to you.
“See, I am sending an angel before you to protect you on your journey and lead you safely to the place I have prepared for you. Pay close attention to him, and obey his instructions. Do not rebel against him, for he is my representative, and he will not forgive your rebellion. But if you are careful to obey him, following all my instructions, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and I will oppose those who oppose you. Exodus 23:20-22 NLT
This interchange was between Daniel and his Angel
Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia. Now I am here to explain what will happen to your people in the future, for this vision concerns a time yet to come.” Daniel 10:12-14 NLT
I say this to remind you that God hears and answers your prayers because He loves you. However, if you negate spiritual laws by siding with everything the devil represents, then what you are seeking may not come to pass. It’s up to you to dispatch your Angels to get your inheritance. God has already set the precedence.
Every high priest is a man chosen to represent other people in their dealings with God. He presents their gifts to God and offers sacrifices for their sins. Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him (Heb 5:1, 8-9 NLT). This is the way God created the procedure for our prayers to reach Him.
Happy New Year’s and WRITE AND PLAN YOUR GOALS AND WORK YOUR PLAN!
