Let every man work out their own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). What it means is that you have to prove to yourself that the Word of God is true once and for all and that it will work for you. Every challenge you face is designed for just that reason – for you to prove whether the Word of God works. Unfortunately most people in the middle of a trial will cave in and quit before the miracle happens by saying the wrong thing, entertaining negative people and contemplating what the doubters are saying is true about their situation. I know that you probably love them but some things you must do alone in order for you to have success. This one thing is to believe that God sent His word to help you (Mark 11:22).
If you have doubts about, let’s say about healing and whether it belongs to you, the easiest thing to do is try applying your faith on the promise God made to you and see for yourself if it works. I just want to add; the word faith simply means believe. If you can believe that the promise God made to you in the scriptures was really meant for you, then you can receive it. Scripture says: “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” Matthew 21:22 (NIV). Get a Bible Concordance and look up every scripture concerning your problem, in this case it’s healing and really analyze every situation surrounding the person who got healed, who healed them, what they said or did to receive their healing, etc. then emulate it. One thing I know about God is that if He did it for someone else, He’ll do it for you too because God doesn’t show favoritism (Romans 2:11).
I have found where the word “Heal” was mentioned 40 times in the scriptures. The most prominent one to me was found in Matthew 10:8. Jesus sent His twelve disciples out to minister the word with this command: “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” What this speaks to me is that we have been commissioned to do those things. Can you believe this?
I have found the word “Healed” is mentioned 78 times with Matthew 8:16 being the most prominent one to me: “That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick.” That command that Jesus used was as simple as saying “Come out of him or go.” Now a lot of people might question that was Jesus, how can I do it? It’s the Holy Spirit who does the work. Let’s look at Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. As I said earlier, God does not show favoritism. If He did it for one, He will do it for you as well. Jesus simply believed God at His word in order to get the results He did; you can do it too.
I have found the word “Healing” mentioned 14 times with Luke 9:6 being the most prominent: “So they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing people everywhere.” It’s undeniable the power that accompanies a willing vessel.
Finally, I found the word “Healings” mentioned once in 1st Corinthians 12:28 “And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.” If you are wondering, I have been sent as a teacher.
Anyway, if you take this same process with anything you have doubt about, you will find that the word was made and given to you to overcome ever area of doubt you may have so that you can instead walk in the victory Jesus died on the cross to give you.
