Living the Word of God

The Three Parts of Receiving

The Bible to some is like a puzzle and to others it’s full of mysteries. It’s quite simple though. If you could imagine the world through the eyes of a child, you would be that much closer to understanding the kingdom of heaven. Everything you need, ask for or desire will be given to you based upon the way you treat people and the motivation of our heart. In case you forgot, here’s a little about children.  Kids are very forgiving. There are no colors when they choose playmates. And if you don’t have any cookies, they are the first to share without you even asking. We all bleed red. As we grow up, hatred in some form or another clouds our judgment, pride fills our nostrils and the desire to be first and have the best of everything competition throws away the basis of love for most. Let that be the reason why you are struggling so much. Life isn’t supposed to be that difficult.

If I could give everyone just one truth from the Bible that would change their lives forever if they implemented it, it would be this one: There is no lie in the truth. You have what you say.  Whatever you SAY and BELIEVE you will RECEIVE it. Let’s look at the scripture from Mark, Chapter 11, verse 23

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Whosoever shall SAY

And shall not doubt in his heart, but shall BELIEVE

He shall have (RECEIVE) whatsoever he saith.

The mountain is whatever your problems are or the challenges you face in your situation. Notice in the scripture that the action of speaking is mentioned three (3) times. It takes your heart a minimum of hearing you say something three times to start the process of believing it.

Here’s a bonus. No matter what you desire, once you make a plan to achieve it, some type of adversity will challenge your faith to see if you really want it. If you overcome that challenge with your words and actions, whatever you planned will come to you shortly after. How you handle the test determines whether you get what you want or not.

The Bible gives you lessons on how to live life. It’s not listed as a) do this and b) do that. or really any other kind of list you could imagine. Your heart governs much of characteristics listed in the Bible. What we call “strict rules” are really guidelines to govern your heart set up to help you while you help others. Instead of listing them a-z, they are scattered throughout the Bible. Some people view them as “rules.” Unfortunately those who do have hardened their hearts to the love and kindness the Bible speaks of. If you want to live a life pleasing to the King, these commandments are not hard. Along with those rules are examples of people who have adopted and those who refused. In the end, God will always have his way. So when desiring to receive something from the Lord, check your heart.

Have a great day
