Living the Word of God

Asking The Lord God For Something

When you have exhausted everything you can do to remedy your situation and have come to your end in the natural, that’s normally when God shows up with the SUPERNATURAL and that’s also when your miracles take place. What are you believing God for?

And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give [it] you (John 16:23). What scripture(s) are you standing in faith on?

But without faith [it is] impossible to please [Him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and [that] He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him Hebrews 11:6).

Before you can believe God for a million dollars or a big house, you have to start believing him for the little things; parking places, favor at meetings, a new job, or even healing for yourself or someone else. Great Faith starts with little steps. But you have to take the steps. You have to believe that the Lord God wants the best for you and has provided solutions to help you in your time of need. Find two or three scriptures that promises your deliverance over the challenging area(s) of your life and give those challenges to the Lord.

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light” (Matthew 11:28-30 NIV).

Meditate on those scriptures until they become ingrained in your senses.  Meditation on scripture involves pondering your situation verses you having the promises of the scripture, muttering those promises, making positive affirmations concerning those scriptures relating to your situation (I believe this will happen because of this scripture) and when those scriptures automatically come out of your mouth through conversation or in prayer, you know you’ve reached that point of great faith for that area. That’s part one of growing your faith for something, now here’s what normally happen when you are trying to change masters. Demons drive, the Holy Spirit leads.  You know that every time you start to believe for something, someone comes to rain on your parade.  Haters show up.  The devil sends someone to shake you up and get you to move off of your faith confession. DON’T LET THEM. Simply put, if you can get past this barrage of discouragement, then you win and your reward is receiving whatever you were praying for.  Just a note: Not all discouragement looks the same. Sometimes it’s masked with things like; “If you loved me, you would…” Answer those sent to discourage you with something like this:  I hear you speaking but I believe (quote your scripture and/or affirmation.) Whatever you do, don’t take sides with them.  If you do, they win. You lose all that effort you placed on believing for your miracle. God will help you through, if you ask Him. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” (Matthew 21:22 NIV). God bless you and have a nice day.
